The boy carries a gallon of water, a cell phone, and baseball bat, and wears a hat that reads “No Fear”. The engine is decorated with milagros and a crutch; its wheels are inset with X-Acto knife blades, all signifying perils of this journey in which many of the riders lose limbs.
